Dear Dharma friends,
I would like to warmly welcome the new members of the board of the FPMT and especially extend my good wishes to the newly appointed Executive Director, Peeyush Agarwal.
Peeyush, it brings me joy to see someone stepping into this role who shares a connection with a place that has meant so much to many of us - Hindustan, Dharamsala and Tushita. Life sometimes moves us along very different paths, yet the Dharma has a way of weaving those paths together again. You come with deep experience in the modern world of leadership and strategy, and yet you have also spent time serving within the Dharma community itself. That balance is something I feel close to as well, moving between worlds, building bridges between cultures.
In our different ways, we are both part of a generation learning how the Dharma can live authentically in the contemporary world. Structures, organisations, and communities are only meaningful when they serve compassion and wisdom. I sincerely hope that under your guidance, and with the support of the board, the organisation will continue to evolve in a way that honours the vision of H.H. the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Lama Yeshe, and all those who have carried this work forward.
May your collaboration be harmonious, courageous, and guided by genuine care for the beings this organisation exists to serve.
