Thank you Letter

Dearest Sisters and Brothers,

The last few months have been very intense, and I wanted to take the time to thank you all for your support, your messages and your very kind letters, which have been so precious to me during these difficult times. Sometimes it is in the midst of chaos and hardship that we realize how lucky we are to be able to count on so many people who come forward to lend a hand and tell us that they will be there for us. Seeing this compassion in action moves me so deeply.

The situation still causes me a lot of pain because of false rumours blown out of context, with intention to harm whilst not bringing harmony. My reputation is always going up and down depending on how people interpret the gossip, but i keep loyal to my character which will not shake i promise. It is not up to me how people interpret their projections on me, but i do feel much love for everyone. It pains me deeply to think that people feel hurt or offended; that we cannot work it out as these are complaints made against me which cannot be clarified or spoken about in public in order to "protect" me.

I think that this does way much more harm than good in every sense. It opens the door for people to begin to project and imagine all kinds of things. I'm not comfortable with leaving it like this.. Even though it may be convenient for a select few.

I truly prefer that everything that is said by people as complaints or grievances is put forward and commented on in public where i can also give my opinion and protect my interests as a human being. At the moment i have been kept in the dark in order to protect these people's identities. I really don't have much to hide, as people well know, i've always been very transparent and have a very open mind for constructive criticism. I would prefer things are worked out:

1. FPMT Spain, regarding Nagarjuna Valencia, and that both sides of the stories are told properly in order to move on and begin the healing process.
2. The complaint in Australia by a person which was not processed at all properly. Both sides of the stories were not heard, and without interviewing anyone present or actually getting a full account of the whole story before taking action against me.
3. Any other complaints or accounts, it would be good to inform people with the whole side of the story and have a good objective understanding. It is harmful to speculate and gossip about people without having the full facts.

This is not Dharma. It is more samsara.

These subjective anecdotes are spoken in public as well as at the CPMT meeting accusing me and giving a very wrong perception to the people. Gossips then circulate and I was not allowed to give my version of events which is unjust.

Some people within FPMT have this blurred and toxic version of me. Despite being the recognised reincarnation of Lama Yeshe, I am not perfect. I make mistakes, but im happy to apologise and learn from them. I am truly sorry for any troubles that I may have caused. Im happy to talk to and affront directly any complaints so that we can clear all misunderstandings in the future.

We have the opportunity to reconcile. I am hopeful that common sense will prevail and that we will succeed in overcoming this collective ordeal together with wisdom and compassion.

My health is much better now, keeping healthy and focusing on Norbu's wellbeing, the projects like Global Tree Initiative and Habit Alignment Key, as well as studying and receiving teachings from Geshe Namdak regularly, following the list of texts Lama Zopa Rimpoche gave us to study.

Your donations have been so valuable in enabling me to live decently with my son over the last four months. Your kindness, love and generosity are so powerful. Holding you all close to heart and in my daily prayers.

I wanted to let you know that the Board has decided to continue with the donation that was promised by Lama Zopa Rimpoche. So grateful to Lama Zopa Rimpoche's kindness.

The Board and I are currently working together to find a resolution towards reconciliation and restoring harmony. This is a big step forward in restoring peace, trust and harmony between us and inside FPMT, which are so important in order to fulfill all together the profound wishes and visions of our dearest Gurus.

I will always do my best to be at your service, help each one of you as much as I can, and be a bridge between Tibetan Buddhism and the West especially for the younger generations who deserve to have access to the extraordinary luminous wisdom of Dharma in their lives. This has been the profound reason for my existence and the meaning of my life since I was two years old, and it will always be so.
